On the subject of wrestlers completely obliterating their knees...

Joey Janela has made something of a career out of throwing caution to the wind, it must be said. Frankly ridiculous bumps are his bread and butter, with insane sentons off ladders and falls from rooftops being just a few of his notably nutty entries over the years.

Yet, with the star plying his trade on the indies for much of his 15-year career, it's fair to say that a large portion of the wrestling world hasn't witnessed some of his more shocking and gruesome matches for themselves.

The same can be said of perhaps the star's most painful injury to date, with Janela completely pulverising his knee on the back of a typically fearless dive from the top rope to the outside. The fall in question came during a Game Changer Wrestling event in New Jersey back in 2018. The Bad Boy unfortunately landed awkwardly when trying to connect with Psicosis on the outside and the damage was, well, horrific.

As he'd later reveal in a Twitter post, Janela tore his PCL, MCL, and medial patellofemoral ligament, whilst also suffering numerous other injuries due to the spot.

Just another day in the life of a Bad Boy, I guess.
