6. Vader

Vader’s WWE debut is a microcosm of his entire lackluster run.

After weeks of buildup, the mastodon entered the 1996 Royal Rumble, eliminating four competitors before being tossed out by measly Shawn Michaels. Although he re-entered the match to cause havoc, fans had already been conditioned to see Vader as less than a top star.

After dominating WCW for the first half of the 1990s, Vader looked lost in the WWF. He failed to defeat Shawn Michaels at SummerSlam, in which HBK publicly scolded the monster for mistiming a move, and then played second banana to Psycho Sid. As injuries piled up and poor booking left the mammoth as “a big, fat piece of sh*t,” Vader left the company in 1998 - another demonstration of WCW stars crumbling in the WWF.
