Very few wrestlers personify the North American independent scene like "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels.

Daniels is best known to American audiences for his time in ROH and in TNA, where he captured many championships and put on legendary matches with the likes of AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and America's Most Wanted.

In 2008, Daniels was "fired" from TNA after receiving a pink slip in a "Feast or Fired" briefcase. One month later, Daniels would return to the company, only this time under a mask as the brightly coloured and ridiculous "Curry Man".

Daniels had developed the Curry Man gimmick in Japan and had previously used it in Dragon Gate in the US. However, this was the first time the gimmick had been used on mainstream TV. In his time under the mask, he teamed up with another ridiculous character - Shark Boy - and feuded with the likes of Team 3D, AKA The Dudley Boyz.

This spicy gimmick lasted less than a year before Curry Man was also fired via Feast or Fired pink slip. Daniels would return to TNA under his old name shortly after.

Daniels is now signed to AEW and, knowing their love of comedy wrestling, it wouldn't be surprising if we saw Curry Man again very soon.
