10 Wrestlers Who Ruined Their Own Careers

1. Scott Hall

It was great to see Scott Hall laughing, looking healthy and reflecting on his actual in-ring career during his induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame last year before WrestleMania XXX. For many years, the man's life had been a complete mess, one riddled with arrests, alcoholic behaviour and various drug problems. Video footage of the shambling husk of a man shuffling his way to the ring on independent wrestling shows, whilst under the influence of drugs and alcohol, sent a shiver up the collective spines of many long time fans, and it's good to know that Diamond Dallas Page, WWE's supportand Hall's own resolve have pulled his life together somewhat. Going off the rails in WCW, Hall quickly changed from the muscular, athletic Razor Ramon of the WWF into a man who was clearly struggling to stay motivated by anything other than the next time he could get messed up. Hall himself is to blame for much of that, of course, and his fondness for alcohol and inability to straighten himself out resulted in the loss of a career which could have been even more special. What other wrestlers or wrestling personalities can you think of that ruined their own legacy or careers? Do you agree with the choices here on this list? Let us know down in the comments section!
