10 Wrestlers Who Should Be Future WWE World Champions
4. Kevin Owens
Odds: 2-1 An argument could be made that Kevin Owens should be either holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship right now or competing for it within the next month. When he debuted earlier this summer, Owens looked poised to turn WWE on its ear, beating John Cena in his debut match. If he could defeat the incomparable Cena twice in a row, he could punch his ticket to the top of the card and provide a jolt and a buzz about the company. Instead, Owens has sunk into the midcard, where he won the Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions. He recently was feuding with former IC champ Ryback. Its definitely a much slower, steeper climb than before, but Owens is insanely talented and should be holding world title gold at some point in the next two years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vBiGXrDCKw4 Consider that Triple H is a big support of Owens, with his meteoric rise in NXT serving as proof. Once Hunter gains more control over the booking of WWE, you can expect guys like Kevin Owens to get a bigger spotlight. Its also a case of talent rising to the top. Give the man a mic and time in the ring and hell win over a lot of skeptics.
