10 Wrestlers Who Should Hold The AEW All-Atlantic Title
8. Scorpio Sky
Despite having literally had the poor guy grasp a ludicrous “brass ring” prop to win a ladder match, AEW has twice dropped the ball with Scorpio Sky as a babyface. Which is a shame, because he isn’t nearly as good as a heel.
Sky is a good looking, charismatic dude and his finger-snap-to-black promos were fun, but much of his heel run in Men of the Year consisted of standing behind Dan Lambert and pretending to p*ss himself at bad comedy bits.
As a babyface, he won fans over wrestling in his street shoes and became the first man to pin “Le Champion” Chris Jericho in AEW, but when that Scorpio Sky threatened to re-emerge during his TNT Title run, it turned out to be a Vince Russo-style swerve.
When Sky returns from injury, Tony Khan should make every effort to reboot the AEW original as the heart-on-sleeve babyface he should always have been. Strapping him up couldn’t hurt, but putting him back in the TNT Title picture might bring back suboptimal memories of his dire all-heel feud with Sammy Guevara.
Instead, fighting his way to the All Atlantic Title might be the refresh Scorp needs.
