10 Wrestlers Who Should Hold The AEW All-Atlantic Title

This one might be a shrewd political move by Tony Khan. Up until very recently, Jon Moxley was a semi-regular fixture of Game Changer Wrestling, even holding the promotion's World Title. This past weekend, Mox dropped that championship to Nick Gage in a typically bloody, glass and pizza cutter-strewn war.

News has just emerged of a five year deal that signs Mox exclusively to AEW and their international partners, such as New Japan Pro-Wrestling. This will come as disappointing news for GCW owner Brett Lauderdale, who will now be losing the guy who was one of his biggest draws. Tony Khan has previously pulled other talent from GCW, as well. If Tony wants to leave the door open to a good working relationship with the independent promotion, it might help soften the blow to put an AEW belt on GCW’s own franchise player, Nick Gage.

Besides which, Gage’s one previous match for AEW was an absolute blast. He may have lost against Chris Jericho, but he pushed “The Painmaker” to his limit in the sort of match people don’t normally associate with the eight-time World Champion.

Provided network heads don’t water down the formula too much, it would be great to see Gage making the occasional All-Atlantic Title defence on Dynamite or Rampage.
