10 Wrestlers Who Should Hold The AEW All-Atlantic Title

Despite Tony Khan signing loads of recognisable WWE names in the past few years, it’s still possible for the right guy to transcend relative obscurity and get over in AEW. This DDT stan out is a case in point.

It didn’t take long for Konosuke Takeshita to become something of a fan favourite on his recent US excursion, and plans are apparently in the works for him to return to AEW imminently.

During his first AEW run, Takeshita picked up wins on Dark and Dark: Elevation, plus a Rampage victory over perennial loser Ryan Nemeth, but fell short against the promotion’s big stars, including "Hangman" Adam Page, Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston. That’s fine because he’s still a young guy who can take loses to big names and not look any the worse for it.

That said, as with the likes of Darby Allin, Wheeler YUTA and Daniel Garcia, putting some gold round Konosuke's waist would show fans that AEW are serious about him going forward. Plus, Takeshita could take the All-Atlantic Title with him to defend in his home promotion back in Japan.

Given how WWE has supposedly been looking to pick up a Japanese talent with a large build, Konosuke Takeshita fits that bill perfectly. Seemingly he’s happy working for AEW, but it wouldn’t hurt to make a show of faith in the guy if other promotions are sniffing around.
