So, why link up with the group? Besides the obvious ROH connection, UE embody Punk's ethos, and real life circumstances can be factored into the angle. They play by their own rules and like to be rebels in the "cool" brand. They're not under Vince McMahon's thumb and have a lot of freedom in how they do things. You can see why that kind of situation would appeal to Punk.
