10 Wrestlers Who Should Never Turn Face

9. Minoru Suzuki

Joe Coffey Vs Minoru Suzuki True Legacy
WCPW/The Ringside Perspective

Minoru Suzuki has a lot of support in the professional wrestling world. That support is largely respect, and the entire industry often comes together as one to marvel at the things this 50-year-old legend can do, both in terms of his wrestling and his general aura. Few men seem as legitimate in the ring as Suzuki, and that doesn’t seem to be diminishing over time.

Suzuki might have support, but only an idiot would mistake that for babyface potential. For one, just look at the guy; Minoru Suzuki looks like an evil human being. When God was giving out looks, he saved his most villainous for the former IWGP Intercontinental Champion. This is a face that not even a mother could bring themselves to love.

Suzuki’s wrestling and psychological style back this up. He's a man who makes no bones about his desire to hurt people, a wrestler who knows a million ways to break your limbs and will take great delight in doing so. Should such a dastardly character ever be cheered? Not in a world that retains a moral compass of any sort, no. Forget the theme song; Suzuki is a heel for life.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
