10 Wrestlers Who Should Never Turn Face

7. PAC

The thought of cheering a total bastard should be anathema to most wrestling fans, and Newcastle’s finest export seems hellbent on ensuring that things stay that way. Nobody embodies the horrible nature of a bastard quite like PAC. The scowl, the beard, the hair, the absolute lack of body fat, the intensity and the violence, it all comes together to create a modern-day heel that has perfected his craft.

All of which seemed a long way away when Neville was a plucky high flyer in WWE. Sure, we saw glimpses of a future heel towards the end of his run as NXT Champion, but for the overwhelming majority of his first years in WWE, Neville was positioned as a babyface, a fairly vanilla one at that. He amazed audiences with his high-flying moves, came out wearing a cape and all the rest.

That all changed from the moment he knocked the soul out of Rich Swann at Roadblock: End of the Line in 2016. PAC has been a heel ever since, a most horrible one at that, and his excellence in the role means he should never turn back to the good side of things, ever again. He’s just too good at being bad.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
