10 Wrestlers Who Should Never Turn Face

4. Shayna Baszler

Shayna Baszler just looks like a heel, doesn’t she? The snarl that is equal parts mania and swagger, a style that is as methodical as it is explosive, a legitimate history and the sense of entitlement that comes with it. The two-time NXT Women’s Champion has been a natural heel since she burst onto the scene in 2017.

The Queen of Spades has continued that villainous momentum onto the main roster, although Lord only knows why she has been booked as being unable to win the big one

n so far. A runners-up spot in the Royal Rumble was followed by a WrestleMania failure against Becky Lynch. No amount of vampire activity can make up for those initial failings.

Someone with the legitimacy of Baszler is always going to struggle to garner sympathy from an audience, especially one with the decidedly vacant empathetic skills of the WWE Universe. WWE will inevitably attempt to turn her face at some point and it won’t work, but ‘try anything once’ and all that jazz. Everything about Shayna Baszler screams ‘villain’.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
