10 Wrestlers Who Should Switch Companies
4. Hook (AEW to WWE)
Like so many others on AEW's books around 2021-22 Hook arrived with a certain aura. The son of ECW legend Taz didn't really have much to say in any early promos preferring instead to let his wrestling ability put his point across. The AEW fans still loved it though and Hook managed to get a pop for appearing on screen nonchalantly eating crisps so he must have been doing something right.
In between times he's fought over the FTW Title with the likes of Jack Perry (he was the recipient of the 'real glass' that caused Perry and CM Punk to have a slight disagreement), Christian and Chris Jericho. He's also avoided the pitfall of many a second generation wrestler by not leaning too heavily on his Father whilst on screen but still keep certain things in the family such as sharing a finisher all be it under a different name.
Since retiring the FTW Title however there really hasn't been much else for Hook to do. The current AEW tactic of putting young wrestlers in factions with those more experienced has been applied meaning that Hook is currently teaming with Samoa Joe and Katsuyori Shibata in 'The Opps'. It might be early days for the group but there's a concern that Hook will get lost in the shuffle.
Perhaps then a phone call to Hunter and a trip to NXT could well be something he'd want to try his hand at? Hook certainly has the talent to thrive in a company such as WWE and the bigger platform would mean his talents could reach more viewers than he does currently.
