10 Wrestlers Who Shouldn't Return For WWE's Brand Split 2016 This Week

8. Mr. Kennedy

One of WWE’s most entertaining superstars through his initial 2005-2009 run, Mr. Kennedy was a solid wrestler and an A+ microphone worker. His old-school mic spot and trademark over-the-top introductions gave him an instant character hook, and he built a great deal of fan support by producing solid gold every time he was allowed to talk.

Once earmarked as a future main eventer, Kennedy’s WWE career met a disappointing end amid several reports of botches from other wrestlers, most notably Randy Orton. He’d go on to find success as a two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion under the Mr. Anderson monicker, but left the company earlier this year after failing an on-the-spot drug test.

Coupled with the botches and an alleged history of PED abuse, this makes it unlikely that we’ll ever see Mr. Kennedy in a WWE ring again, but you never know with Vince McMahon. It’d be nice to hear his introduction again, sure, but Kennedy never evolved into the elite-level professional wrestler that everyone thought he would, and at 40 years-old, it’s unlikely he will.
