10 Wrestlers Who Suffered Heat From The Undertaker

3. Diamond Dallas Page

Poor old Diamond Dallas Page. Wrestling's great late bloomer, DDP was one of the few WCW superstars to get over during the almost eternal nWo dominance, becoming an organic babyface hero against all the odds. He retained this popularity in the face of dire booking as WCW slid closer to the abyss, and was integral to any chances the invasion storyline had of being a creative and business success.

Then, the stalker.

Instead of being brought into the WWE as hardworking hero Diamond Dallas Page, the former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion was revealed as the individual who had been stalking The Undertaker's wife. It was a pretty wretched way to arrive on the big stage, as bad as anything he'd been forced to endure during the dying days of WCW. Depressingly, his debut and reveal were just about as good as it was going to get.

Rumour has it that The Undertaker had issues with all of the WCW guys that came over to WWE, but he seemed to retain special resentment towards DDP. This came from communication issues and a difference in bumping mentalities, and somehow that ended with DDP being pinned by 'Taker's wife.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
