To recap, both Vince McMahon and Sting survived being set on fire earlier in this piece. One was locked inside a vehicle when it exploded and went up in flames, and the other was ablaze when he fell off a giant screen through the staging below.

At least they weren't in a coffin when the flames scorched them.

That was The Undertaker's fate at Royal Rumble 1998. His kayfabe sibling Kane locked the 'Phenom' in a casket, doused it with gasoline, lit a match, tossed it onto the wood and then stuck two fingers right up at him. Death? No, nobody who has read this article will be shocked to learn that 'Taker survived and recovered.

WWE didn't even bother to use this as an opportunity to update the character's look or reboot him at all. 'Taker returned for 'Mania XIV looking exactly the same and beat his brother in a straight up one-on-one match.
