10 Wrestlers Who Survived The Impossible

2. AJ Styles

After all, AJ Styles is technically undead himself.

The in-ring wizard was buried alive by The Undertaker under several tons of dirt back at WrestleMania 36. Christ, one of the the pay-per-view's lasting images is still AJ's little fake hand poking back up through the earth to signify how far under the soil he really was.

Or really wasn't.

Did this close out Styles' blistering four-year run with WWE and mark his exit from the company? Did it hell. AJ returned on the 4 May Raw to win a Gauntlet Match that ensured qualification for that month's Money In The Bank special. Then, he colluded with Baron Corbin to throw Rey Mysterio and Aleister Black off WWE HQ. Probably/probably not.

All talk of 'Taker-related murder was shelved and the product moved on like nothing had happened. A legend retired, AJ's 'OC' cronies Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson left, and Styles focused on pulling down briefcases rather than surviving live burials.
