10 Wrestlers Who Totally Wasted Their Own Potential

3. Low Ki

Even today, 21 years into his career, Low Ki is a force of nature between the ropes. Bruising and hard-hitting, he's an intense head-kicker with a dangerous edge and a gut-churning arsenal of stomps, strikes, and dives, and must be credited for helping bring his clear Japanese influences to the American indies in the 2000s. Matches with the likes of Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and KENTA helped define that era of wrestling, and Ki's inability to build a career comparable to his decorated Ring Of Honor peers can be attributed to one thing and one thing only: attitude.

ROH, NJPW, and WWE head the list of companies he has burned himself out of. There are countless stories of Ki taking himself and his act way too seriously, indulging his own ego, and p*ssing his peers off. Oh yeah, then there's the time he decided to shoot knock an opponent out without warning as he felt it'd be a more interesting match finish than the one given to him. The man's his own worst enemy.

Ki, like Austin Aries and Teddy Hart, currently calls MLW his home. Owner Court Bauer must have the patience of a saint.
