10 Wrestlers Who Turned Heel On AEW

9. Miro

Miro's unannounced return to All Elite Wrestling on the May 11th 2023 Dynamite marked the first time he'd appeared on the show in months, with his last match taking place at All Out 2022 in September.

It's been a long break - longer or as long as those involved in the infamous "Brawl Out" debacle - but a compromise had supposedly been needed for some time after news broke that Miro was none too keen on what he was being offered.

The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer reported that;

"In September, they came to him, Tony Khan came to Miro and he had this idea which would build to a match on the November 19 pay-per-view and [Miro] didn't want to do it... It's weird, a lot of people who come from WWE are very leery, obviously, Bryan Danielson being the exception, about doing jobs. Then it becomes very difficult to book when you don't really want to do programs where you are going to lose."

What specifically he baulked at wasn't clear, but various flashes of his teeth on Twitter and a continued absence from television all but confirmed that not all was rosy on either side. The prospect of mending fences is a hot one - Miro's 'Redeemer' character was the most awesome use of the 'Bulgarian Brute' since Rusev Day's WWE peak in 2018.
