10 Wrestlers Who Turned Heel On AEW

8. Eric Bischoff

Eric Bischoff was a pleasant surprise when he returned to TNT and made his All Elite Wrestling debut on the August 5th 2020 edition of Dynamite.

Brought in to chair a debate between Orange Cassidy and Chris Jericho during the pair's uneven feud, he was perfect in the role as a warm nostalgic figure as well as somebody with enough gumption to stand down Jericho's nonsense. He worked three more times for the company in Jericho-adjacent bits between then and May 2021, and it appeared as though the two sides could enjoy a cordial relationship going forward as a result.

As well you'll know - whether you want to or not - that wasn't to be. Spotting a gap not entirely filled by all the other names you're tired of seeing, Bischoff decided to become an anti-AEW voice-for-hire via his podcast.

There were murmurs that Bischoff soured on AEW when Tony Khan (correctly) pointed out that his company stood more of a chance than WCW over the long haul, but 'Easy E' has been relentlessly hard on the promotion ever since. Or has, at least, said things destined to be shared even if he posits the polar opposite take the following week.
