10 Wrestlers Who Were Insulted By WWE Roles They Were Offered

Scott Hall wasn't insulted by a particular storyline (although he clearly didn't care much for that Goldust run), or booking decision when he approached McMahon and asked what he could do to earn more money in 1996. Nope, Hall was just intrigued as to whether to not his Razor Ramon character had a ceiling.

It did, but Vince was hesitant to admit it.

The boss told Hall that he was delighted with everything Razor was doing. That didn't satisfy Hall - he yearned to be more than an upper-midcarder who kept the Intercontinental belt warm and helped elevate others. At some point, Scott probably thought, he had to be the one going up the card and thus making more cash.

Of course, McMahon's resistance to that thought pushed Hall towards a guaranteed deal with WCW, but he's said many times that he wouldn't have left had Vince just played ball. Razor was only looking for a little reassurance and upward mobility on the WWF food chain.
