Everyone remembers that SummerSlam 2016 ended with Brock Lesnar mounting Randy Orton, and leaving in a sickening pool of his blood. Well, everyone except Randy Orton, you'd imagine.

While the crowd in attendance that night was rendered speechless by the barbarism that closed the evening, stories have since emerged that a lot of the talent in the locker room were equally as shocked by what they were seeing. None more so than Chris Jericho, a notoriously confrontational figure at the best of times, but one who just happened to be very close friends with Orton.

Immediately heading to Gorilla, calling the finish "bulls**t", and demanding answers from Vince, Brock emerged from the curtain to catch him in the act. Jericho promptly got in his face to let him know what he thought and, inevitably, a fight between the two broke out.

Jericho has recounted the incident a number of times but this quote, above all others, sticks long in the memory: “I remember I was face-to-face with him and I just remember looking at him [and thinking], ‘He’s got the biggest, ugliest nose’. Like this f*cking giant nose, and I’m like, if he does anything, I’m just gonna bite his nose off. He’s gonna kill me either way, so he’s gonna kill me with no nose. I don’t care.”

The pair were finally broken up by, amongst others, Vince, who assured Jericho the whole thing was a work and admonished him for being unprofessional. All this while Orton was still slumped in a puddle of his own brain matter.
