10 Wrestlers Who Were Right To Walk Out On WWE

1. Randy Savage (1994)

Randy Savage wanted to wrestle in 1994.

The WWF, perhaps blinded by their own 'New Generation' marketing speak, disagreed that Randy should still be in the ring, and that's why Vince put him behind the announce desk instead. Colour commentary was something Savage tried his best with, but he yearned to work in-ring with guys like Shawn Michaels on pay-per-view.

McMahon had put the 'Macho Man' out to pasture, and that wouldn't do. Resentful of effectively being called old, Savage informed Vince that he planned to leave and sign a deal with WCW. After jumping ship, Randy went on to become World Champion another four times, helped guys like DDP find their feet and became part of the hot nWo angle.

That was certainly better than sitting next to a guffawing McMahon on commentary for Raw. It was more creatively satisfying for the 41 year old to wrestle for as long as he could and prove to himself that he wasn't finished yet.
