10 Wrestlers Who Were The Last Person To Take Iconic Moves

9. Dusty Rhodes' Bionic Elbow - Dean Ambrose

It's somewhat ironic, given Cody effectively snagged Jon Moxley a new lease of life over in AEW, that the pair's previous professional paths crossed in a situation which saw the roles (fictionally) reversed.

At Battleground 2013, which frankly feels about a century ago, the Rhodes brothers Cody and Dustin faced off against The Shield, requiring a victory to be re-instated in WWE. Years later, Dean Ambrose would desperately seek exit from the company, calling up Cody for an opportunity elsewhere.

Also on the line was the late Dusty Rhodes' job as an NXT trainer (apparently, even in storyline, WWE higher ups were stupid enough to sacrifice his experience and worth in that capacity out of spite). Naturally, The American Dream became embroiled in proceedings, smashing Ambrose with a Bionic Elbow. The Rhodes family prevailed, the brothers getting back jobs they both wished they didn't have some years later.

Sadly, Dusty passed away in 2015. It was somewhat fitting that his very last Bionic Elbow was in service of his sons.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
