10 Wrestlers Who Were The Last Person To Take Iconic Moves

7. Hulk Hogan's Legdrop - The Big Show

We can confirm, through WhatCulture's resident NXT cheerleader and Jeff Jarrett's sartorial biographer Michael Hamflett, that Hulk Hogan, by that point 58-years-old and onto his third spinal fusion surgery, did not perform his iconic legdrop in his final match, a TNA six-man in Manchester.

Nor did The Hulkster drop his thigh on Sting at TNA Bound for Glory 2011, his last televised contest (though he did pull the rarely seen 'face smooch' out of his arsenal).

The mealy-mouthed Hulkamania: Let the Battles Begin! tour of 2009 saw a similarly superannuated Hogan keep his feet firmly on the ground, except for what can only generously be termed a 'medium boot' to Ric Flair's mush each night.

In fact, despite hanging up the bandana in 2012, you have to go all the way back to 2007 for the last time Hulk used his devastating legdrop. It came at the close of a contest between Hogan and Paul 'Big Show' White on Memphis Wrestling's PMG Clash of Legends, allowing the Hulkster to get his win back from Halloween Havoc '95. Multiple back surgeries thereafter, required after decades using the move, would effectively retire it.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
