10 Wrestlers Who Were Wrongly Judged On ONE Match

6. D’Lo Brown Is Cursed

The nightmarish accident which cost Darren Drozdov his career (and almost his life) would haunt D'Lo Brown's own legacy forever. Droz was paralysed and ended up in a wheelchair following a powerbomb-gone-wrong on an October 1999 episode of SmackDown, and D'Lo's push hit the skids.

That was terribly harsh.

Every wrestling match is millimetres away from disaster. The margins are so fine, and D'Lo had worked hundreds of bouts without incident before this. He'd also been regarded as a fine midcarder who deservedly snagged several belts and spun out of the Nation faction with aplomb.

Then, Droz happened and everybody forgot that. Sure, it was grim, but Brown didn't warrant insults about the safety of his ring style, and he definitely didn't deserve the severe scrutiny that'd be given to all of his matches afterwards. One single moment would come to define D'Lo's entire career, and that's plain sad to think about considering all he'd achieved.
