10 Wrestlers Who Will Be Back In WWE NXT Eventually

3. Shaun Ricker

EC3, Ethan Carter III
WWE

Unlike everyone else on this list, Shaun Ricker never once appeared in the ring on NXT TV, so unless you pay close attention to the wrestling dirt sheets, there's a decent chance you never knew he was a part of the promotion. It's actually pretty surprising he didn't escape NXT's house show circuit, considering he had all the tools to be a star and was even endorsed by the illustrious likes of The Rock and Paul Bearer.

Despite that, he was cut from his contract in August 2014, and it didn't take long for him to find a home in TNA (now known as Impact Wrestling) as Eli Drake. He started out as just another guy on the roster before breaking out into singles competition following the dissolution of The Rising, coming into his own as an obnoxious, albeit entertaining, heel.

Since then, Drake has been one of the best parts of the product and has proven his worth in matches with Ethan Carter III, James Storm and Alberto El Patron, among others. Oddly enough, he has never been much of a focal point on the program, which is why a return to NXT, with this character he has created for himself, might be only inevitable.
