10 Wrestlers Who Will Be WWE Champion By The Next US Election
6. Becky Lynch
The idea of women competing for men's championships goes back decades in professional wrestling. At No Mercy 1999, Chyna defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the Intercontinental Championship while other wrestlers such as Trish Stratus and Jacqueline have held various other mid-card titles.
Following Tessa Blanchard's run with the Impact Championship, the topic of women competing for the major men's championships in WWE is an issue worth discussing again. And if there's anyone in WWE who should be doing it it's Becky Lynch.
Some might point to Ronda Rousey as a better option considering her more legitimate fighting background; however, The Man stands so clearly above the rest of the women's division following her year-long Raw Women's Championship run that she seems like the best option to break out in the men's division.
Lynch has already taken part in an inter-gender match, having faced James Ellsworth in 2017 on SmackDown. There she beat him handily with a Disarm-her. At some point, it may not be too far fetched to see her doing the same to become the new WWE Champion.
