10 Wrestlers Who Will Define AEW's Future
6. MJF
Maxwell Jacob Friedman, aka MJF, is already a bonafide star. No matter how you slice it, the smug heel is the greatest thing to come out of the inception of AEW, and has future World Champion written all over him.
With only 5 years under his belt, the former Curt Hawkins trainee is a rare breed in the sport of professional wrestling. He is young and relatively green, but yet he carries himself like a wrestler with much more experience.
Before joining AEW, MJF had only ever wrestled on the indies, yet transitioning to the 'big time' has been seemingly very easy. He can talk, has tons of charisma, and even maintains kayfabe when he's out in public, making him one of the most despised heels in wrestling, a statement that covers a lot of ground.
WWE has got to have MJF on their radar, but as long as he continues to be given opportunities with AEW, we would be very surprised to see him make the jump. New York may be the end game for many up and coming stars, but it is with All Elite Wrestling that MJF will truly be able to hone his craft and become one of the go-to talents for the company to lean on for years to come, long after names like Chris Jericho and John Moxley are distant memories.
