10 Wrestlers Who Will Leave WWE In 2024

2. Sami Zayn

You'd be forgiven for chortling a little at this one.

Sami Zayn headlined WrestleMania 39's opening night, and he launched himself into company lore forever by playing a crucial role in the cracking Bloodline story. Since then though, Sami has slid back down the pecking order just a bit, and he's right back in that utility man role all over again.

In the short-term, that's fine. Long-term? Not so much. Zayn has had a taste of the big time, and has been upfront and honest in the media wondering whether or not he should've been the guy to dethrone Roman Reigns back at Elimination Chamber 2023. Montreal might agree with those sentiments, but WWE creative didn't.

One can see Sami betting on himself by leaving WWE when his contract runs out. He's probably never going to reach the heights he did between 2022-2023 again in this promotion anyway. Maybe, just maybe, AEW would jive with Zayn's mix of experience, taste and star power.
