10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be World Champion Again
1. Bryan Danielson
Is there a more selfless top star in wrestling today than The American Dragon?
Since arriving on the All Elite scene a year or so ago, Bryan Danielson has quite happily laid down for just about every adversary in need of a rub, routinely coming up short in World Championship bouts and high-profile wars.
Why? Because he's not really in it for the spotlight at this current moment.
That's according to the former WWE Champion himself, with the Blackpool Combat Club man noting to Ron Funches on One Fall that he feels like his current job in wrestling is "service".
In fact the legendary wrestler would even go as far as to declare that being a champion is "not what inspires me or brings me joy".
Should AEW decide that him being World Champ was "good for business" Danielson would obviously do what his employer asked of him. But his words on not needing or wanting the "spotlight", and even being content to continue his final spell as a full-time worker on Dark and Dark: Elevation, hint at the star simply not feeling the need to climb that particular mountain again.
That still won't stop him kicking various heads in and no-doubt putting on a few more classics opposite whoever is holding AEW's top strap until he steps away from full-time action at the end of his current deal, mind.
