10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be WWE Champion Again

5. Jinder Mahal

Poor Jinder. Not even the combined might of Veer and Shanky could stop the Modern Maharaja from being well and truly hindered. Jinder Mahal's recent feud with Drew McIntyre was just about as one-sided as feuds get, and it was made abundantly clear that the two former 3MB compadres are light years away from each other in the pecking order. One of the two will inevitably find himself back in the world title picture sooner rather than later, and that man isn't Jinder.

Truth be told, Jinder Mahal should never have been WWE Champion in the first place. Mahal's 2017 championship win over Randy Orton was a complete shock and the reign that followed was mediocre at best. Outside of a pretty sweet entrance and the willingness of the Singh Brothers to take wild bumps, Jinder's title run was one of the most forgettable of recent years. Let's not revisit that anytime soon, please.

Injuries have taken their toll, but it wasn't as if Jinder was a main event-level performer before his knee issues. The man has enough tenure to act as a credible heel in the middle of the card, much like the Dino Bravos, Warlords and Mounties of yesteryear. The Mountie had much better theme music though, for the record.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
