10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Be WWE Champion Again

Kofi Kingston's career has deserved so much more than a single solitary WWE Championship reign, but many will argue that the New Day star was lucky to get even that. It took a wave of momentum and a rare moment of creative clarity for Kingston to find himself battling Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 35. That single reign ended in tragic farce, but it ensured Kingston would finally find his way off the 'Best Wrestlers To Never Win A World Title' list.

Will Kingston add to that one title reign? It seems unlikely. Kingston isn't old by any stretch of the imagination (just 40, at the time of writing) but WWE has never given the impression that it sees him as anything more than a popular guy in the middle of the card. He likely has a job for life, but 'popular guys in the middle of the card' don't really win world titles.

Of all the names on this list, Kofi's is the one that retains the most hope when it comes to future world titles. Why not? Despite the loss of Big E., Kofi and Xavier Woods remain a hugely popular act on RAW, and Kingston's brief feud with Lashley this past summer conjured many arguments in his favour. Still, climbing the mountain once more seems unlikely.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
