10 Wrestlers Who Will Never Get Another Big Push

4. Mickie James

If Mickie James was going to get a huge push in the SmackDown women’s division, it probably would have already happened. She’s been brought in to put over younger talent, which is fine, but WWE hasn't got as much out of her as they should have.

In her first pay-per-view match back in the company, they booked her to lose in a tag team bout. She followed that up with another loss in her first singles pay-per-view match. She capped it all off with a 2-out-3 falls loss to Becky Lynch on SmackDown. It doesn’t seem like there’s any sort of long-term plan in place for Mickie.

Had WWE held off on Lynch vs. James for WrestleMania, it would have been an encouraging sign, but the one-sided nature of the feud may not bode well for the veteran’s long-time future. There’s still a chance when she turns face she’ll be rewarded with one last shot as a major player in the division, but it looks like management is much more invested in Becky, Naomi, Nikki, Alex Bliss and Natalya for the foreseeable future.

Mickie is pushed far better than she was as Piggy James in her last run, but she hasn't come close to being positioned as effectively as she was in the Trish Stratus feud. It's highly unlikely she'll reach those heights again.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
