10 Wrestlers Who Will PEAK In 2023
1. Mercedes Moné
If they don’t already - and they probably do - WWE are going to very much regret letting Sasha Banks slip through their fingers. Slating Banks and Naomi when they walked off a TV taping might have felt good at the time, but already it seems to be biting them in the backside.
Her NJPW debut - as Mercedes Moné - was low on incident. She strutted to the ring in some incredible get-up, attacked Kairi, and announced her arrival on the scene. But did it ever whet the appetite for more Moné. With just the match between Mercedes and Kairi announced, New Japan almost sold out their first USA event of the year in San Jose.
Moné was consistently one of the best wrestlers in WWE full stop, and whether her actions were always sensible or not, it’s fair to say she was underappreciated by her old place of business. In New Japan/Stardom, it’s clear the division is going to revolve around her for the foreseeable.
All of this, and she's acting in The Mandalorian. A woman who has made the most of any given opportunity inside the ring and out, this is set to be a banner year for Moné.
