10 Wrestlers Who WILL Retire In 2023
5. John Cena
It is becoming harder every year for John Cena to compete in WWE with all the other commitments he has going on, and it is more than possible that he could decide to officially retire in 2023. The polarizing superstar has been largely embraced by fans in the past few years as he is far removed from the 'Super Cena' of a decade ago.
His most recent match on SmackDown alongside Kevin Owens against The Bloodline showed that Cena still shares a great passion for the business despite his other ventures. However, the 16-time world champion has gone on to find Hollywood success, and it is fair to say he no longer needs to wrestle anymore after having one of the greatest careers of all time.
Cena, like The Rock and Batista before him, will at some point have to accept that he can leave WWE for good, as sad as that decision will make a certain portion of the fans. 2023 could well be the year that sees Cena move on from the wrestling world, which will complete one of the most important runs in the sport's history.
