10 Wrestlers Who Would Have Made Better Managers

8. Eva Marie

Okay, so I know I said I wouldn’t be bashing any wrestlers for their in-ring contributions, but I think it’s fair to say that Eva Marie hasn’t necessarily had the best of times between the ropes.

Technical shortcomings aren’t even the basis for my argument though, as she clearly has talent in her own right beyond mere good looks and a modelling body.

As one of the stars of Total Divas, she’s confident in front of the camera. While she also has a bachelor of arts in business management and a minor in human resources, so she’s obviously no slouch upstairs. Or at least, that’s the line I have to tow because I too am a business management grad.

And if people still have reservations about her, she wouldn’t even need to be a mouthpiece necessarily, as she could easily slot into the kind of role that Sable or Debra played in the Attitude Era; female valet that the crowd adore, but whose client is jealous and overprotective, prompting an eventual face turn for the manager.

Sure, it’s not very progressive, but it was pretty much working with Lana last year because we got that weird, love-quadrangle story.

Plus, I have a feeling managers are exempt from the company’s Wellness policy. Too soon? It’s probably too soon.
