5. Neville

Neville’s heel turn hasn’t just saved his WWE career, but completely revitalised him as a performer. The former NXT Champion was going nowhere as a babyface, and was barely even made television. Destroying Rich Swann and TJ Perkins at Roadblock: End Of The Line turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to him, and now, Neville is one of the strongest booked wrestlers in the company.

Turning heel has unlocked vaults of charisma that once seemed non-existent, and Neville has proven to an ideal rock to build the Cruiserweight Division around. His rise has coincided with a huge upswing in 205 Live’s all-round quality, and as the brand’s undisputed ace, the Geordie’s weekly contributions have become “must see” television.

There’s a strong chance he’ll drop the title to Austin Aries at Extreme Rules, but that shouldn’t have too much impact on Neville’s fortunes. He is finally playing a prominent role on the main roster for the first time in his career, and WWE would be foolish to drop his push, championship or no championship. Neville is comfortably the best thing to ever happen to the Cruiserweight Division, and there’s no reason he can’t use his current heat to move into a more prominent role on Raw.
