10 Wrestlers Whose Theme Music Was More Over Than They Were
8. Fandango
Joining WWE in 2006, Johnny Curtis was a veteran of the company's developmental systems before finally emerging on television as the winner of the aimless original NXT in 2010.
However, when his victory was rewarded with a mere one minute squash match loss to Mark Henry on SmackDown, Curtis appeared to be careering towards obscurity.
Enter, Dancing with the Stars...
Reemerging as Fandango, an arrogant ballroom dancer on SmackDown in 2013, complete with a Cha-cha-cha entrance theme, Curtis was reborn.
Re-debuting in in-ring competition by defeating Chris Jericho at WrestleMania 29, Fandango's star quickly burnished as his theme music became the centrepiece of the post WrestleMania Raw.
Emerging to an enthusiastic response from the boisterous crowd, who sang and danced along with the theme, Fandango-ing became an overnight sensation.
Within the space of a day, the had song soared to number 11 in the UK charts as wrestling fans flocked to buy the hottest theme in the business - at least for a week.
However, the song, much like Fandango himself, proved to be a one hit wonder. Plummeting out of the charts a mere week later, Fandango-ing currently resides alongside Adam Bomb's Bomb Squad in embarrassing wrestling nostalgia.
