10 Wrestlers Whose Theme Music Was More Over Than They Were
7. Balls Mahoney
Jonathon Rechner's career was given an immediate boost when he plumped for AC/DC's 1976 hit Big Balls as his entrance music as Balls Mahoney in ECW.
Given ECW's flagrant use of music that should have been subjected to publishing clearance, Balls was able to steer his career in a new direction, leading the fervid ECW crowds in a raucous sing-a-long of the Aussie rock anthem.
Quickly becoming a featured performer on ECW television with his partner Axl Rotten, the united chorus of "I've got big balls" before and after Balls' matches became a staple of ECW shows throughout the late 1990s.
In what would be one of wrestling's first crowd participation sung entrances, years before Bryan Danielson and the "Final Countdown", Mahoney himself was never able to garner as much enthusiasm as his theme.
Despite having a brief run in TNA after ECW closed its doors and even a two-year spell in WWE, Balls Mahoney's career was never again able to amass the united ardor of a wrestling crowd without them being able to proclaim in unison "We've got the biggest balls of them all".
