10 Wrestlers Whose Theme Music Was More Over Than They Were

6. EC3

A wooden worker and a goofy promo, little was expected of TNA's signing of Michael Hutter, who had floundered in OVW, FCW and NXT before being fired after only a handful of trifling appearances on SmackDown.

TNA however, had a rare trick up their sleeves.

In stark contrast to a decade of sabotaging careers, TNA creative defied all expectation and struck gold with a gimmick.

Rechristened as Ethan Carter III, the spoilt nephew of TNA owner Dixie Carter, Hutter was simultaneously bestowed with perhaps TNA's only infectious piece of entrance music ever.

The opening bars of Trouble immediately became EC3's calling card. The repetitive refrain was so catchy that soon fans were so absorbed in singing the theme that they began to stop chanting "you can't wrestle' at Hutter, who incidentally had not improved a lick under his new moniker.

Positioned as headline star for the first time in his career, EC3 went on to win the big one, becoming TNA heavyweight champion in 2015. After a second reign as champion in 2016, EC3 trouble, trouble, troubled his way back to NXT in 2018.

Returning with a lesser theme and the same graceless execution, a musk of trouble is currently wafting through NXT.
