Sharing a spot with Jeff Jarrett is Edge, who is not only one of the most successful tag wrestlers of all-time, but one of wrestling’s greatest ever world champions.

Edge was always a star while working with Christian, but his career took off shortly after their split. Edge’s King of the Ring 2001 started their separation in the first place, and Edge was soon fast tracked towards world title glory. His first reign came after cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on John Cena at New Year’s Revolution, and while this first run lasted just 21 days, Edge’s career soon skyrocketed.

Edge had amassed a highly impressive 11 world titles by the time he was forced to retire in 2011, and they all came in WWE. He rarely held onto the belts for any great length of time, and he spent just 548 total days as WWE or World Heavyweight Champion, but only seven other men have accumulated more top level gold than Edge throughout the sport’s history.

Furthermore, Edge is one of only a handful of wrestlers to retire while in possession of his belt. His teary farewell was shocking, emotional, and crushing in equal measure, but he went out at the top of the business.
