Edge is somewhat synonymous with ladder matches in World Wrestling Entertainment. The Rated-R Superstar took part in 16 of the things during his glittering career, and his five victories in TLC matches puts him at the top of that pack. Edge was the very first Money in the Bank ladder match winner. and also has an impressive 50% success rate when it comes to standard ladder bouts.

Edge has smacked a huge variety of men with ladders in those 16 matches too. He started off teaming with his 'brother' Christian against variations of the Hardyz and the Dudleyz, and his first singles ladder match actually saw him defeat Christian for the Intercontinental Championship in 2001. He has also climbed ladders to defeat Matt Hardy, Ric Flair, The Undertaker, Kane, Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio, with John Cena the only man to defeat him in a singles TLC match.

He had to AA him through a heap of tables in the process mind.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
