10 Wrestlers Without Direction For WWE SummerSlam 2017

1. The Miz

It looked in all likelihood that The Miz would be defending his Intercontinental Title against Jason Jordan at the 'Biggest Party Of The Summer', until Brock Lesnar turned up on Monday Night Raw and decimated the entire 'Miztourage'.

Arguably WWE's finest heel, Miz remains the ultimate utility player for the company and stands as a genuine throwback to heel secondary champions of yore.

However, even in the event that he does take on the General Manager's son at SummerSlam, a one week build-up following his evisceration by 'The Beast' is no way to treat such a vital cog in the company's engine.

In truth, with so many shows to furnish with fresh matches on the other side of the August spectacular, the Jordan/Miz conflict may actually be best saved for a future pay-per-view once the company know for definite that the former American Alpha member can actually galvanise support. His responses thus far suggest that the audience at large are completely unwilling to buy into the soap opera plot, and a SummerSlam clash could result in Miz receiving cheers akin to those he garnered during the heated WrestleMania mixed tag with John Cena and Nikki Bella.

Regardless, it seems a cruel oversight to leave the 'A-Lister' off the show altogether, and a 'Miz TV' segment should at least be a consideration to break up the churn.
