10 Wrestlers WWE Are Currently Dropping The Ball With

1. Bayley

Bayley’s fall from grace represents one of the most spectacular eviscerations of a seemingly untouchable babyface commodity in WWE history. Her earnestness, integrity, and ability to appeal to younger demographics should have made Bayley one of WWE’s prized assets, and somebody they would maximise at all costs. Unfortunately, her main roster run has been one misstep after another, and the road to recovery looks distant.

WWE flubbed by pulling the trigger on Bayley’s first Raw Women’s Championship victory too early, effectively robbing her of a big WrestleMania moment in the process. Bayley was then utterly crushed by Alexa Bliss during their title feud, with the ‘This Is Your Life’ segment and rivalry-ending Kendo Stick On A Pole match making her look timid, feeble, and completely out of her depth.

At a time when WWE’s core audience is ageing at a frightening rate, it’s unfathomable that they’ve done this to a performer with such strong appeal among children and adolescents. A rebuild isn’t impossible, but it’ll take a Herculean effort to undo the work WWE have done to derail Bayley’s popularity, and there’s no guarantee the fans she has lost will ever show such vociferous support again.
