Bray Wyatt's loss to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33 was an egregious waste of his momentum, but his defeat at the hands of John Cena at WrestleMania 30 was much more damaging. Nobody other than Daniel Bryan was as over with the fans as Bray at the event, after capturing the audience's attention for how different and well performed the Wyatt Family act was despite WWE's booking.

Cena has often been levied with criticism due to the part he has played in burying a number of up-and-coming performers in WWE. Whether this is fair or not is another conversation entirely but it is obvious that he did not need to beat Bray Wyatt on his WrestleMania debut, just as the character looked to be reaching a main event level.

The feud wasn't entirely great anyway, with Wyatt attempting to corrupt Cena in an effort to get under his skin, but fans were still up for seeing the latter put over the former. Unfortunately, it did not pan out as a breakthrough moment for Bray, who would suffer a string of major defeats throughout his time as the 'Eater of Worlds' cult leader character.
