7. Terry Taylor

Speaking of top prospects, it's the "Man Of The Future!".

Before working that guise in WCW, Taylor earned a rep for himself as a damn good pro wrestler. The handsome young grappler was even compared to greats like Ric Flair in some circles, and it looked like he'd go on to bigger and better things when he inked a deal with the WWF in 1988.

That's when sh*t hit the fan. Taylor morphed into the questionable "Red Rooster" character, and was literally instructed to walk around crowing like a farmyard animal. Stranger things have worked in the biz, but this wasn't a neat fit for Terry's traditional feel as a worker.

Following that aforementioned run in Atlanta, Taylor returned to the WWF in '92 as "Terrific" Terry Taylor. It was more up his street, but Vince McMahon failed to put any spotlight on Terry and fans were apathetic at best as a result.

What might've been, eh?
