Well, ain't that a pretty sight?!

A thoroughly miserable Barry Windham donned the camo face paints for as run as "The Stalker" in 1996. That'd be one of three botched ideas he worked during a rotten 1996-1998 run that never satisfied anybody. Things had looked brighter for Baz during his first WWF stint in the mid-80s.

He teamed with Mike Rotunda as The U.S. Express, and they even enjoyed a few runs as WWF Tag-Team Champs. The good times didn't last though, 'cause Windham left to work in Florida for NWA territories before eventually becoming a bigger deal in Jim Crockett Promotions.

If his first WWF run was a classic example of dropping the ball, then his second burst the thing completely. That 'Stalker' persona bombed in front of fans, and gigs alongside Bradshaw as The New Blackjacks and in the rubbish NWA invasion stable tanked too.

Barry, like Shane Douglas, should be viewed as one that got away for the McMahons.
