10 Wrestlers WWE Gave Up On In 2020

1. Otis

Mr. Money In The Bank has become Mr. 'Creative Has Nothing For You'.

Cast your minds back to May. Otis had just won that MITB briefcase and seemed destined to charm everyone in sight by continuing his unlikely romance with Mandy Rose. That was the case (ha) until WWE chose to put him in a contender for 'Worst Feud Of The Year' with The Miz and John Morrison over his MITB privileges.

Their legal shenanigans were a weekly blight on the SmackDown landscape, and things peaked with a Vince Russo-esque swerve turn from Tucker on his old buddy that meant he lost the briefcase. Then, WWE decided that nobody cared about any follow up and ditched whatever scripts they had for a Heavy Machinery rivalry.

Otis now sort of pals around with Chad Gable on Fridays and doesn't even have that guaranteed shot at a World Title to fall back on. Basically, he's been rendered useless for no reason whatsoever - neutered by the very same people who thrust him into prominence.
