10 Wrestlers WWE Gave Up On In 2021
6. Braun Strowman
Falling into a similar category to that of fellow former Wyatt Family member Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman was another star who seemed pretty much set for life in terms of having a role to play in Vinnie Mac's empire.
Built like a literal monster, with all the roaring intensity the boss usually has personal wet dreams about, a world where The Monster Among Men wasn't bellowing out that his enemies were set to "GET THESE HANDS!" in WWE seemed unimaginable. Reinforced by the fact that Strowman had literally just battled against Shane-O-Mac at 'Mania 37 and fought over the WWE Championship at WrestleMania Backlash.
But, clearly sensing the character had run its course and simply wasn't worth the large expense, Strowman was unleashed onto the free agency market in June. You could argue that the character had been treading water for a significant amount of time on the main roster, but is there ever such a thing as having too many terrifying forces of nature on your show?
With the mighty Omos taking his place as Raw's resident Goliath, it appears Vince McMahon just didn't see the value in keeping this expensive titan around any longer.
